Summary:

Bock develops cryogenic bolometer and kinetic-inductance detector arrays for cosmic-microwave-background polarimetry (BICEP/Keck) to probe inflationary gravitational waves, and leads the SPHEREx all-sky near-infrared spectral survey; a continuing detector-technology program spans TES and thermal-KID arrays. For context, this complements the established paradigm of NV-diamond ensemble magnetometry (Hahn-echo/DEER, nanoscale NMR, T1 relaxometry) operating near pT/√Hz sensitivity.
