Labyt led the development of metastable helium-4 optically pumped magnetometers at CEA-Leti and co-founded Mag4Health to commercialise them for MEG. Unlike alkali SERF sensors, the 4He approach operates at room temperature with a large dynamic range and native three-axis vector output, easing operation outside heavily shielded environments. His work spans the sensor physics, system integration and clinical translation of helium-based OPM-MEG.
